Chris Franta, CFA, brings more than two decades of investment leadership to his role as Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director at Pravati Capital, where he helps shape the firm’s investment strategy and drive its next phase of growth in litigation finance and law-firm M&A. He leads fundraising efforts across global distribution channels while architecting and executing Pravati’s investment approach, ensuring that every strategy is grounded in rigorous analysis, disciplined risk management, and a deep understanding of client objectives.
Over his 22-year career, Chris has partnered with institutions and advisors worldwide as an investment specialist, developing and delivering tailored fixed income and multi-asset solutions across global distribution platforms. Most recently, he served as Senior Client Portfolio Manager at Franklin Templeton Investments, a role he held since 2010, where he worked closely with clients to design and communicate outcome-oriented investment strategies. Prior to Franklin Templeton, Chris was a Product Specialist at PIMCO, focusing on municipal, short-duration, and income-oriented fixed income strategies—experience that sharpened his ability to translate complex credit markets into clear, actionable solutions for sophisticated investors.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Arizona and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. His deep institutional expertise, client-focused mindset, and proven ability to navigate complex market environments strengthen Pravati Capital’s platform and deliver meaningful value to partners and clients across the specialized markets of litigation finance and professional services M&A.
